Hunting Trophies

The story behind these one-of-a-kind necklaces dates back a few years…

I created a set of sculptures entitled Hunting Trophies a few months before the Arab Spring revolts. These trophies are atypical and anthropomorphic, combining the face of a human and the head of an animal. Each trophy is a dictator and its animal symbolizes the oppressed people. The concept behind this collection revolves around ephemerality and unpredictability – the semblance of superiority could reveal a hidden suffering.
